Need some advice. Went down to Driftaway last weekend and was trying to change the original Thru hulls to Marelon. My plan was to leave the original metal thru Hull and only change the valve. This worked on the front one but on the back one I cannot get the original off. Is there any special tool to keep the thru hull fitting from turning when I am unscrewing the valve? If I cannot get it loose, I may have to cut it off and put a Marelon fitting in its place. Thanks for any advice, Mike on Ohio

You may want to try tightening up on the nut that’s on the thru hull & if there is enough space put a strap wrench on the threads that are exposed & hope for the best also a few shots of penetrating oil & let set may help with a few shape blows to the wrench on the valve may break it loose.Pray
