Thanks guys I don't know about dancing on top but there is plenty of room under it. The boat is a 1980 I'll post some better pics ones if I can figure out how. This whole job cost me around $600.00 the big expense was the canvass $375.00 The aluminum was cheap lots of labor though. Bob

I would be wary about a thing called "metacentric height". It has to do with a boat being top heavy and subject to blowover in bad weather. My concern was alarmed when you removed heavy items from near the waterline after you added all the structure up high.

There was a structure up there before just not as sturdy. The radar was on a pole that stood 6' or better above the bridge. The stove and hot water tank and fridge didn't work. By the way I replaced the head counter top and the two smaller counter tops on the port side with granite This will replace most of the lost weight. The rear bench was replaced with two cooler seats (usually filed with ice and beverages). A friend of mine installed the granite as gift when I purchased the boat . The galley counter had granite also but was so heavy the boat would list to starboard side so I removed it and went with formica. The 40 gal water tank is always full, The fuel tank is full when I depart.I keep tools and lots of fishing tackle on board most of the time. I haven't been out on the boat yet this season, but I don't think it will handle much different with the new top. As far as wind goes I don't take the boat in conditions that would possibly blow the boat over. I the boat would probable skate over the water before tipping over.(Unless the bridge was full of people in bad weather) The top isn't as heavy as it looks my daughter and I installed it up there. Bob
