Had to replace one of the double plug in boxes in the galley on my '87 32 ft F/B.
The box has a tab on top & bottom to keep from pulling out toward you when you unplg an appliance.
Could not find any at the hardware stores or the Rv or Marine stores.
A blue plastic box at the Menards fits but does not come with the molded tabs.
Any suggestions?
Thank You! Garyh

These boxes are called old work boxes. The early ones were metal with tabs. These tabs can be still be purchased separately. The blue ones will work, look for the ones with wings that flip out this will hold the box in place.Home depot sells these as well as the metal strips. I like the blue ones my self. If it not an old style box it will not have the flip out wings. The blue plastic ones may be slightly larger then the metal, just enlarge the hole. Some brands of boxes even come with a template but it is easy enough without one. Bob

Bob -
On my boxes the tabs(?) are molded into the unit. The boxes are a tan color. I suspect they do not make them any longer - just thoght maybe someone has seen them somewhere. Gary
