dougmrose@gmail.com Interesting you should send me this, am about to post a situiation that happened to me this weekend and I used to be a LIFEGUARD!! Jumped in with a buddy to cool off, riptide blew us away from the boat with the girls in it, also had a chop on the water, rolled over on my back and injested more waves than air, losing strengh at 65. Young friend is a Jock, also health instructor at the YMCA here and in great shape, the reason I DIDN'T THROW HIM IN A LIFE JACKET BEFORE I JUMPED IN-I ALWAYS JUST TOSS THEM OUT-THANK GOD I DID JUST THROW OUT THE ONE CUSHION!!! HE TREW IT TO ME AS I WAS FADING AND WAS TRYING TO SWIM TO THE DRIFTING BOAT, GOING AWAY FROM US!! Saw he was fading and not gaining, he was returning to me to hang on the cushion, when our wives got the my centerconsole going and came to our RESCUE!!! THIS WAS A VERY SCARY EVENT!!! REMEMBERED THINKING-THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING TO ME!!!!! By then they had drifted about 500ft away. Always teach them to run THE BOAT-THANK GOODNESS THE THOUGHT AND DIDN'T PANIC-ALSO THAT THE BOAT STARTED, ECT-------ALWAYS TOSS IN LIFEJACKETS--OR WEAR THEM-TEACH THE GIRLS TO RUN THE BOAT--LUCKYDOG--Any of you know how to post this on the forum?
