Taking the last week of July off and heading north. Hope to make Sarnia or Port Huron the first day and then up to Bayfield and or Port Elgin for a few days. Just want to run the boat and get away for a little. Haven't done any trips in a while. Curious to monitor fuel consumption.

Its been a long time since exiting Lake Erie and up into Detroit river. I'm told its best to go up the down bound channel. I believe that's the Livingston channel. Trying to avoid heavy traffic and areas of the river that require idle speed.

Probably gas at Kean's and Sarnia on the way up.

I'll keep an eye out for any fellow Marinetters

I'm planning to head South down to KY & Tn mid September, maybe on to Keys, if the Admiral is having a good time.
I understand that 3 BigM , past "Tall Timbers Marina" last week headed up into lake MI. I didn't get to meet them but marina owner is supposed to call me when they return. Be on lookout for three BigM in Lake MI. I think they were a 41, 39 & 32. I'm looking forward to meeting these guys.

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I haven't been up that way since the mid 90s. I do recall the bright blue water. What a difference from Lake Erie mud.

Wish I could get 2 weeks off, I'd head toward the North Channel again. Beautiful area.
