There is a free web service called YousendIt.com that allows you to share large files (they also have a paid version that you do not have to purchase - it allows you to share unlimited and bigger files). I think that once you upload your large files to the YouSendIt server, you can invite others to share it and download it. Other than that, why don't you Google "compress large video file" and see what advice is offered. There are some new protocols that facilitate that so, for example, you can more easily download a movie or put one on your cellphone or DVD player. Good luck
