Wow, that's pretty ugly, but most of it looks like it might be original wiring. It also does not look much like my boat: I had breakers also used as switches in place of the fuses you have there. I have no fuses at all.

My website is down (geocities is gone) and I have been trying to bring up a new one using Apple software. Like everything Apple, you have to be a member of some cabal to use it, and my membership card hasn't arrived yet.

I used your wiring diagram to resolve an intermitent electrical gremlin that always caused my running lights to mysteriously turn off at just the wrong time.

Through a process of elimination, I traced the problem to the 30 amp breaker/switch in my engine room. Mine is a twin so there are 2 30 amp breaker/switches. The starboard switch serves the starboard half of the "eyebrow" panel and the port serves the port half. The problem switch was the port where my running lights, wipers, bilge pump switches ect. are located. What threw me off was the fact that the bilge pumps worked fine even when the gremlin blacked out my lights. Then I realized the bilge pumps are also supplied by a separate breaker. The port breaker switch was faulty.
