Pokin' around there looking for water and found this. Looks to be drilled in using a jig or something. It reads "NUMBER 584799 and underneath that is "NET17" Any thoughts? I can probably set up a better pic. Haven't looked under the starboard berth as yet.... Found about an inch of water too - think it's probably from condensation as all the fine teak paneling is all wrinkled upBrick wall

Your number is a USCG Documentation number. At one time your vessel had Federal Documentation papers

I went to the USCG site and entered my numbers in their search engine. No help. Then I entered "We Be Jammin" and seven came up but not mine. I tried to find archives to no avail. If anyone can help, please do so. Just trying to track down info on my cat. It has "Jamaica, WI" on the stearn and there is no Jamaica that I can find in Wisconsin....

My experience with the CG Documentaton Center has been poor..very hard to find info. Small staff, unenthusiastic. Try sending them a letter. That's what I had to do to get the info I needed. Be patient about getting a reply.

Sec. 67.121 Official number marking requirement.

The official number of the vessel, preceded by the abbreviation
``NO.'' must be marked in block-type Arabic numerals not less than three
inches in height on some clearly visible interior structural part of the
hull. The number must be permanently affixed to the vessel so that
alteration, removal, or replacement would be obvious. If the official
number is on a separate plate,

The pate must be fastened in such a manner that its removal would
normally cause some scarring of or damage to the surrounding hull area.

Thanks, Joe. I've been to all but the second link and I will start on it tomorrow.... checked the starboard berth today - no surprises and dry as a bone.
