Oh Boy!! You SMART BOY MON!! Liked what I saw may become dealer for these!! Here in florida, I see them all the time in Bahamas and S Fl. but I live in S Ga.!! We just call it N Fl.!! I cant wait to test. These are 12 volt , the problem wit h under watewr light in talking to the boat Capts I know on the 10 and 15 million dollar yachts even, is the friggen Ballasts, trying to convert 110 to 12 0r 24 volts. the lights go out. After talking with Randy, I never thought abought it some of these lights have the fragel filement that when they come in from an offshore rough run, they get thrown around and weakened We'll see. Mine have been shipped let you know. AS a old welder I can relate to the 6061 alum. they are built out of. Sorrydog

Down in Baja Georgia at the better marinas (Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale) lots of folks have these lights in their transoms and they really look great in the clear water. I used to shrimp from my Whaler using old auto headlights (one filament still working) dropped in the water with a dive weight, and it worked well and looked nice.

But I have a question. Why do these have to be mounted thru the hull? Couldn't you just have a surface mount that was easily removable? How about LEDs, then you wouldn't have to replace bulbs? I sure hate to put in any unnecessary holes....

P. S. I see that OceanLED makes a surface mount light, but it still needs holes in the hull for screws. How about mounting them to a block of plastic and then attaching the plastic under the swim platform?

Yep, got 'em today. No instructions. None at web site either http://aqualights.org/ I sent them an email query on the install instructions.
What did you adjust? Are you talking about the round end cap that the cable goes into?

The nut is the one on back that wire runs thru, it must apply pressure to the socket. Didnt get instructin either did find simular on sight for install, with pic of 5200. Hurleys got it going on with those trim tab lights, But very expensive. Go to www.harborfreight.com 47604-1vga and look at their $7.99 Underwaterlights work great and have suction cups or permanant mount 20 watt. You can also just toss um in and let them float around your boat!! Cant beleive them chinks can build these and sell um for THAT!! 12 volt or 110 adapter TOO! Could be bolted to trim tabs. I beleive Redneck Wayne has a simular rig. Sorrydog

S. Dog:

Could these be installed to the bottom of the swim platform, firing down? If they are small enough, they would be out of the water when planing, but at the dock could be lit up for effect, or to help drunks like me find the swim platform in the dark.

I'd guess the heat would burn them up, being sealed and all...

Great idea Doug, I COULD have used THAT last summer!!! Got to keep them in water for cooling, however they will float on water. Could mount on base of support strut for swim platform and turn them off when running. These are well built and cheap. Got a freind who mounted several on plate and drops over side in saltwater, still working after about 4 years. Bulbs are $5.00 at Lowes. Work good in hot tubs and pools too! I put 2 in frog pond 2 years ago, still burning day and night!!
