When i access the site and not logged in, that hateful message comes up everytime i check new postings and move from one topic to another. Won't show it's ugly head when logged in. Any ideas for this situation?

I think we all do...just as you describe...it started happening when the site files were maxed out and our founder had to make some corrections. Apparently, that message was a bit of unfinished biz. I now count it as a very minor annoyance for the price ($0) of admission. A quick tap of the ESC key banishes it.

Meant to say something about this. My guess is that, when the site-wide message went out (OK to post), one of the "guest" accounts received the message. If you can log into that account, and clear the inbox, you might be good to go...

Joel , haven't tried the ESC key yet, and i understand about " 0 " admission. Can live with it; was just asking . I thought about deleting all my info and password and reinstalling but kind of figured the site probably stores files that can't be deleted accept
by an admin. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Mark..my guess is that even if you came in as a new user you'd get that annoying msg (it's like a gnat). I have checked - and Joe Howard verifies - that even as an admin I can't delete users. I can suspend posting privileges but there is no "delete user" function. Isn't that interesting? I looked at all the options tonite but didn't see how to get to "Guest" user mailbox.
Problem will go away one day when Joe gets free time.

To All,

On the points system that seems to be a pain in A$$ to some of the members. I figured out how they work for every message that’s posted U get + 3 points for every deleted U get - 100 points. That’s just how the site is set up, so don’t let the point system BUG you. Whistle So when U post something like calling me a A$$hole than have a change of heart & delete it just cost U -97 points. I resemble that last remark I worked hard at getting that reputation. Dancing

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I have never done that and look at my points! LOL Maybe being retired LE it comes with the tarnished badge.. :)

Guys used to say.. " I will see you in court!" My response always the same: " Looking forward to the opportunity and by the way I will be on Overtime pay will you?" And so that is how things go sometimes..

Keep safe,

dave
