Jeff,
Nice job on the Dink! It'll be interesting to hear how fast it is.

I'm building a boat also, but mine is a lot smaller about 40" long. I will try to attach a picture. It is basically scalled after my 37 aft cabin, 1'' to 1 foot. My question is, What can I use for hand rails? Best I've come up with so far is small brass tube, and have it cromed.

I give up! Got pic to 50kb, still cant post!

UPDATE FROM JOEL: shrunk it to 37kb and here it is, a wonder to behold! Maybe under 50 is the magic number - It would do wonders for me.

Superb! The measure of a TRUE carpenter is producing varnished work. Note that my crude efforts are always painted to hide the filler!

Dave,

Great work & ideas on both tables Dancing Man did I make a mistake by showing the wife & daughter your fine craftsmanship Applause First off wife says why don’t U get my dead A$$ rump out from in front of the PC & do something creative like that Brick wall than the daughter pipes in telling me I still have 6 ½ months to build the cradle type table for the newbie coming into the family. My answer to the daughter was if I where to build one (all know the words to Rock a bye baby) especially the part (cradle & baby come tumbling down) Whistle the question to the wife can I go buy the tools needed to do a professional job like Dave did. Her answer forget it forget it. Dancing Well here I am in front of the PC boring the membership with my tripe. Anxious Again great work to the 3 boat builders on this thread Dancing Applause Angel

Hey Doc! Think What did you say your Admrial's e-mail was? She needs to read how easy it is to build one of these before she kicks you dead a$$ out of that computer chair. Not talking No expensive tools, just a table saw and drill motor.

..."Any positive floatation?"

You bet; the forward 18 inches is a fiberglass nose compartment that's sealed. Did that on my last dink as well.
