You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Don't know 'bout the rest of you guys but with the fuel prices goin through the roof in the middle of a recession of all things, Santa came to help last night. I've been think'n on how I could afford to put Thunder Bird in the water next season and when I found that pile of coal under the tree it came to me...STEAM! I can convert to steam power! Plenty of torque, and I know of a couple of shipwrecks just loaded with fuel! Hallaluyah my season is saved. Thanks Santa! But are those yellow streaks in the snow bank what I think they are? You could have laid off the brewski's until you got over Lake Superior.

Would I use the same prop as I would for a desiel engine or would I need a higher pitch? Most the steamboats I've sailed on only turned about 100rpm.

How to convert to steam? Piece of cake: Take an old boiler from a steam loco, hook it to one of those steam turbines the power company threw out, open the front hatch and chute in a ton of coal, and go boating! Oh, and don't forget the whistle.
