Just stopped after reading pg. 43(started at pg.69 and my head hurts) - so I'm gonna quit for today. This 1963 catamaran shows no evidence of a Capac meter aboard and I do no recall seeing a "pie pan" on either of the hulls when it was on the lift while we were cleaning off the tiger mussels. I just put the negative lead of my digital meter in the water and the positive to the hull. The reading was -.353vdc. Unplugged shore pwr and reading was -.2 something dcv. Wonder how fast my boat is disolving. Wonder if Two Keels has Capac on his? Don't even know if these V-drive shafts are isolated or if they even did that on the cat.... Sure do like this boat and hope it lasts thru the summer(IF and WHEN that gets here). Eh?

I don't believe that your readings mean anything unless you put a silver chloride probe into the water. Others have purchased handheld probes that worked pretty well. Check to make sure that your shorepower green is not connected directly to your hull, that is the big no! no!. And make sure you have zincs on shafts and rudders.

Jim, nice job on this! I really liked the part where it said that overprotection can lead to paint peeling! JAM
