Good paint, I plan on using it again. But before you buy from the factory, check the price at your boat shop. I can buy it cheaper from my local shop. --Ed

Can Epaint be used over the top of Trilux and if so is there any special prep that needs to be done? I've finally used up my stash of Trilux II I had been using and will now have to switch to something else.

When I used ePaint, I applied it over Trilux after a good (and very messy) sanding. But to be certain, check with their tech support people. I think you reach them online easily. By the way, as I have posted before, I used ePaint with decent results for several years. Then, we did a test on a strip of aluminum -- Trilux on one side and ePaint on the other. Trilux won. Many fewer barnacles which we get in heavy doses in Chesapeake Bay territory (I'm in the brackish water part of the bay). Last year, the boat was almost barnacle free when it was used very little and the water was quite warm from the constant heat waves. Before I sell Charlie B, I will put one more coat of bottom paint on her and it will be Trilux (already purchased from Wholesale Marine).

Joel,

I'm in Lk MI so barnacles aren't a concern, mostly a matter of how much slime/algae build up we get. Did you decide where you're going to list your boat. I need to get serious and get mine listed too. Still trying to decide if I should list it myself or go w/ a broker.

FRed: You should do your own test. Get a quart of the paint you're not using and put it on a test strip with the stuff you user on the other side. Or two strips. And report back. Anyone else?

(Boat sale is off topic here but I will reply: I put ad in Boat US online & magazine, $150 AND am talking to local broker. That way, for very little money, I can have more input. And, I don't mind paying commission, though perhaps a reduced one, for a buyer I find. Broker will have to do the paperwork and maybe do some/all of the negotiation. Will also consider putting ad in Yachtworld or one of the other sites, including free Craigs List. The only way it will get sold is to advertise. Weather turn is bound to stir up interest )
