Whistle I have looked almost everywhere, can't seem to find the overhead panels they used in our BigM 's. Anybody have a lead on them? These are the ones with the pin hole dots in them. ThanksPray

Tim I saw a post about parting out a 32 but I don't think they will fit your 37.

Anyone taken down the ceiling panels?

Is it difficult?

Do they go back OK?

Any tricks?

Where would I get 12 ga shells with #40 shot?
I used figerglass shower panels...you can use the smooth side or the textured side. About $40 a 4x8.

Thanks guy's, I'll check these out.
Jeff, yep the panels do come out easy an are not hard to put back either. but you'll definitely want some help. On our 37's the span is just over 10' and if you try to fight with it yourself they will break.
As for the shower panels, we considered those as well. The admiral wasn't to keen on the idea, especially since we could not find them in the length we needed and would have to concoct a new pattern to hide the seems.

The original panels in my 32 were pretty much gone, so I replaced them with 1/4" marine ply. They are all held in place by mouldings and trim, that screw to the aluminum and support the edges of the panels. If you have them out, be sure to do any wiring you think you might need (just put the wire in place, hook up later) and insulate behind them before reinstalling. I used Reflectix on the 32, far easier than the hard foam cut to fit between the ribs that went into the 28. I could not get out the panel over the head and the one over the lower helm, so they are still in there.

I primed and painted the panels, but if I had it to do over I would get some sticky-back vinyl cover for them, sort of like the originals. You can buy panels with vinyl on them, but not marine grade, that I could find. The paint, even marine, does not clean up as easily as the plastic.

Looks like it might be great stuff, but I can't go to Switzerland or Slovenia for it. If anyone knows of an outfit that carries it in the states, please post.... I'm a touchy-feely guy and won't buy stuff that I haven't actually seen....

I've got a roll of that vinyl from the PO in the garage to fix the overhead panels in the V birth. I looked on the shipping label and it's from Sherwin Williams.
