I bought a used XANTREX 40 amp Charger on EBAY for a good price. It lasted a year and stopped working. I called customer service a few months ago and they suggested opening it up and replacing any burnt out fuses I found. There were no burnt out fuses. I checked the website today and got a local service center number. The service center guy said that none of the Chinese chargers are fixed only replaced and that my model was not available. I complained that a high dollar charger should not be a throwaway. He agreed and suggested I spend a little more for an American made charger. He specifically suggested I look at a Charles 30 amp 2000 series which can be serviced.

P.S. Just looked one up at WMJMARINE.com for $299. 2 year warrenty and Says it is made in USA. Checking around some more.

Another American made product and repairable by technicians in America.
They are located just outside Nashville, TN.

Been running their 2 bank, Pro series for 2 yrs and not once has it cooked the batteries and handles the house load just fine.
