Thanks: 1 times
Could anyone explain The proper use of the Engelhard corrosion system. The control switch has two detents as it is pulled out?? The web says that the company was bought out by US Filters, which is now owned by Siemens. Neither company will give advice on my unit. I also read that they should be removed from Aluminum boats - due to owners not understanding how to properly use the system. The say too much voltage is bad and too little no good. How can one use the system properly with so little info available? Thanks

Sounds like the Mercathode system. You can still monitor the CAPAC meter to see if you're in the proper range. And, yes, too much voltage generated by this unit (or anodes) is not good--it leaches out magnesium from the welds.
