One of the items on my list is to make a teak grate to fit the metal pan in the shower of my '75 32'. But, I have not been able to scrounge enough teak and it will be a bit of work.

At Costco they have a bamboo floor mat thing that is basically a cross grid of bamboo to stand on while drying off. It looks pretty nice, and bamboo is good stuff. I thought I might cut one down to fit in the shower pan, but I don't know if it will fit.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the metal shower pan for a 32? My boat is in Florida, so I won't be able to measure mine until I get down there.....

Thanks: 4 times
I'm looking at doing the same thing soon, but my shower pan is custom made (not standard dimensions.) I decided to epoxy glass square tiles along the inside of the shower pan (the 1" square tiles come in sheets which I just cut to size.) I have to mix up a bbatch of epoxy and do one side and wait and then do another side and wait so that side dries. I'm still working on it. They look like they are very securely attached though, but I still need to apply the mortar in between the tiles. I was thinking about using Cypress and coating over with clear epoxy to give a nice wood look, or I was thinking about using gray colored weathered driftwood, like that is on the dock. I will update pics soon since I just got my brackets/braces and motor bracket back from being powder coated. Does your shower walls leak down along the side and under the shower pan?

Thanks so much. Sadly, the bamboo bathmat thing from Costco is too small, it is 22" by 28" I believe. I will have to find something larger.
