Sean -- I think that is a valuable service of forums. It's a place to report user experience. There is a line between "this didn't perform well for me", or "the vendor took three weeks to ship and it arrived broken and was the wrong part" and "this vendor is an ass". The first examples are objective experiences and the second one is subjective and frankly, not useful.
For example, I reported my experience comparing ePaint and Trilux a few years ago. I reported that the latter performed better. That's objective.
Everyone's mileage varies. As Sean just pointed out above, a user might not be applying the product as intended. Nor is the customer always right. Forums are merely places where opinions can be heard, a giant electronic cracker barrel (some of us are old enough to remember them), and you accept those opinions at your risk. Sometimes, they are worth what you pay for them. Often, on this forum at least, they are golden.
