It looks like there are variations as far as quality for some of these tankless hot water heater burners.
Check out just a few of the units I found ranging from a cabin/camp heater from The Sportsman's Guide to a house unit to the Marine quality $1500 Precision Temp Shower-mate. http://www.sportsmansgui...net/cb/cb.aspx?a=667361

I'm still deciding on where to put this burner/igniter. The propane source will be the twin tanks located in a propane box/locker which will be housed on a shelf which is to hang off the back of the stern-->see pics towards the end of my project photos via this link:
http://s1216.photobucket...dd377/projecthouseboat/ I'm going to try to sketch a picture on my idea on there.
I'm considering housing the tankless water heater burner unit on the OUTSIDE of the superstructure.

Anyone out there have any experience in using these tankless hot water heaters? I'm leaning towards the Bosch or Excel unit.
Thanks, Roger-->Mt. Dora, FL.

Like it any leaks go over board. I think electric is safer. That's why I asked how much hot water do you need undeway or on the hook I will have to suppose quiet a bit if going wit gas looks to be the safest way you have it sketched
