When I loosen my hold down bolt on my port engine, my dist gets wobbly (engine running), and my timing appears to be erratic. I assuming it is time for a rebuild, and hoping it isnt the brass bushing in the block. At over $300, replacement is out of the question.

I have searched all over and cannot find a rebuild kit... Any ideas?

Mine does that floppy stuff as well with the hold down bolt loose, but it works okay after cinching it back down. Crappy design.

So I guess the next question would be, is the outboard, forward plug, #1 on the port engine? Maybe I just have the timing THAT far out of whack, and that is what is causing the pinging? I just want this thing to to run right...arg

Jeff, I stopped by Sunday before last, but just missed you according to your slip mates. Tried hailing you this past weekend to no avail...
