The old barge ran pretty well except that the oil pressure alarm switch on Mr. Starboard crapped out AGAIN. I go through one of these damn "idiot light' switches a year. Go figure. Nice to be back on the water again.

Jeff

PS: On our next trip to the boat I'm taking the new dink! I always get the big boat squared away first, so...

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Still too early to tell what she'll do, but it's a vast improvement over the old one. With the same motor and prop, the old one topped out at 5,00 rpms and stayed there. This one INSTANTLY goes to 6,500 rpms thanks to far less hydrodynamic resistance. (It's a deep vee design with a pad.) It turns great, and planes off easily, which is nice with a passenger along! ANd it's very stable at rest.

I too would like a photo of it at speed, but... Only one short run on it do to an electrical system failure (too small a fuse). Next week, perhaps!
