I thought i had a bad battery. its ok. ten i took my alternator to the shop they said is is good. where do i look now. My alternator seems to not be charging the battery.

it is a motorola brand unit. i cannot see a model number. it has one positive larger wire and a small wire on the bottom.

any suggestions on where i should do now to find the problem?

Most our M's had prestolites but no matter which if ALT is working the the fault is probably the external regulator.

Many of us as made the change to the single wire alternators and have eliminated the faulty external regulator blues.

safe boating,
