Hardly think that the bolts being not isolated would cause that reading. Mine reads about .08 at the dock and .09 as soon as i get away to deeper and better water. Alot of crap around the docks; other boats with poorer service than ours. If not the case , keep at it you will find the cause. Mark No matter where you go,there you are. Knot Normal 28FT. I thought a cathode gave up electrons and an anode attracted them....? that's the way it works in tubes & transistors(emitter & collector?....). It's that way with cedar trees here where I live. We all call them cedars but the book calls them Junipers( who ever heard of a juniper chest at the foot of a bed?) Jim

I could never get more than about .7, even though John said I had more anodes than required. I was concerned but did nothing about it. I am now doing "The Loop" or was.( Currently held up at Atlantic Yacht Basin, just South of Cheasapeake Bay) When I hit salt water meter went to 0.9 & to 1+ at times. If you have 0.6 in fresh water you are fine, installing more anodes is a waste of $$. Roger Sea Jay 1983 37 double cabin, twin 230hp Volvo diesels, twin disk 1.5-1 20X 23 4 blade props
