The front deck outside seat, instead of windows across the front, when did this first get offered on the 'M's? Was it an option or design change? Which models was it avaialble on? JAM

I'm not positive when the change occurred, but my '72 FB Express has windows in front. For some reason I think they changed in '74.. Not sure. I prefer the windows and you can sit on the cabin roof right there anyhow if you want. ( but not underway ).

Most if not all 32' express models, except perhaps for some very early sedans, have windows instead of the forward seat.
Express models have no sliding glass door for the salon. Sedans have sliding glass door.

The sedan did not have windows because the head is forward and in 1985 they began partitioning the forward cabin with a sliding door & wall. The express never had a door/wall for the vberth so windows would be functional for natural cabin light.
