As most of you know, I'm coming up short on my RPMS since Pertronix distributor install. Was getting 3400 before install, now only getting 2500 on both engines.
Per Pertronix techs, I checked ground to distributor, also check voltage across coil. All within specs called for.
Looking at Jeff's ignition diagram
http://www.marinetteboat.com/forum/resource.ashx?image=112I spliced Prpl/Yel(solenoid) wire and Prpl(ignition) to bypass ballast resistor...looking at diagram I see I am still powering the LtBl/Tan wire to Ignition module...I don't know if my 1985 wiring is the same as this diagram. May have wiring issue where the ignition module is still in the loop with my new distributor somehow
More details to follow if I can get to the boat soon
