Does anyone know where I can get a replacement prop shaft around the Michigan Lake St Clair area or anywhere for that matter. The shaft is from a 1978, 32 Sedan and is 1" dia. I called the number for John Althouse and left a message but I don't know if he's still doing business seeing that his web page hasen't up dated in a few years. The shaft broke off right at the prop and I lost both the prop and the shaft end. This is prime time boating season and I don't want to be down any longer than necessary. Thanks for any help.

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Bob,

Try this place. They can make you a new shaft. They may be close to you.

Thanks all for your help! I found everything I needed at Henery Smith in Algonac. I did hear back from John Althouse thou he didn't have my shaft in stock. It was good to hear that he is still in business and weathering the storm.

You could try Henry Smith in Algonac. They do all kinds of machining, rudders, shafts, and props. I've had good luck with them in the past. (810) 794-4222

I've got a shaft in my garage now in Toledo and will have 14/11 starbord prop by next thur in Gilbraltar, MI where my boat is docked. I am changing props then. Port prop is slightly damaged 1-419-467-6042. What are they worth? Kenny
