Very little relief from the heat here TN. Hardly any rain in the last 2 months and hotter than heck; but my kind of weather. Water temp. in the sleu 89 and on the lake 86. Have to go deep too find any cool. Not complaining for i like it hot. Hope everyone is having a good summer. We are out about 3 days a week , just to stay cool.

Water on the upper Chesapeake is running 82-89 degrees depending on location and tide action. IMHO, 82 is doable, but 85+ is just getting too warm. I don't mind the heat, but I don't like feeling like I am swimming in a bathtub....

Hay Mark! The water on Fort Loudoun Lake is hot as bath water too. We try to get out at least three days a week or more; this winter when the weather keeps us at the dock, I don’t want to have to think about the days this summer I could have and did not get the boat out of the slip. We were anchored near Tim on Sunday; his boat looks great with the new paint job. Is it crowded at Sand Island?

Shane; i thought the water would a lot cooler up there but i guess everyone is get scorched one way or another. Guess we'll have to do some diving to find the cool.

Jeff; glad to here everyones getting out on the water and not holed up in the air. Wanda and i are not big fans of real warm water, but always cooler on the lake.
Except for the holidays the crowd at the island has been family oriented which is nice. I guess the economy has put a dent in the rowdys. Always a party on the lake somewere to have fun. Hope everything is good.
