How many pounds do you figure you have in that 28 footer?
If you sell the tranny I might be interested.

This may not sound terribly constructive, but with no further BigM being built, having another relagated to the scrap heap seems a shame. While it's a buyer's market for boats, I wonder if you could find a buyer for her "as is" for the value of the hull as scrap? Maybe up the asking price a bit and throw in the 318 and tranny (unless of course it's needed). Might keep one of our boats "in the world" and be able to snub its nose (bow pulpit Whistle ) at the glassers.

Not even my 2 cents. All the $ is in do boat!

I bet that 28 would make an awesome center console. The perfect fishing machine or for weekend running to the beach etc.
Would need a place to cut it down but if someone had the space, time and $ if could make for a neat project.

I know a guy who gutted an old flybridge Luhrs and cut it down to make a center console out of it. Going to look really nice when its done.

Brent, I would be interested in the engine controlers, if they are the ones with the flat black handles. Mine on upper helm are somewhat pitted.

My 1965 Fisherman has no "drunk rail" to hang on to and only lifeline railing is way forward on th' bow. You have anything for sale in that line (drunk railing on top of cabin)?

Jim, on my 28ft. Express , i replaced the drunk rails on the cabin ; due to damage by a previous owner with SS pipe. Shines up great and very strong. Got it at the scrap yard for about $15 and had enought to do the top of the helm . Looks great.
