Plan is to make a trip up river - back to Defeated Creek Marina with "Slip Chaser". Haven't been out of the slip since tying up at Shady Cove. Hope to use it more when I get back home. Gonna tie up at old lock six at Hartsville to overnite and lock thru Cordell Dam Monday 2pm....Dancing

Finally made the trip back to Defeated Creek Marina. Used 50 gal fuel coming back up river. Only used 30 gal going down last year. Most of the trip was at 2k rpm. Everything was find until I tried to show off to my brother piloting a houseboat - ran out of fuel and battery at th'same time( had to raise hatch to switch tanks & batteries). Still wipeing off the egg....

Jim,

Your boat has twin engines, true? Were you runnin' both on the up river leg?

We're planning a trip in a couple of weeks downriver (and then back up) from Cincy to Madison, In. We did this same trip last year and ran 1 engine at a time (1 hour's run b4 switching over). Finishing the install of a Floscan 7000-B-2 and am curious to see what the fuel usage'll be (almost afraid to look, but it'll be nice to figure out the best fuel burn vs distance covered).

Bill - I answered yesterday but it didn't post. Slip Chaser only has a single screw twisted by a 302 Ford Commander.
