I have partied with them before. Matter of fact some of D dock have been coming to C dock because that is where the party is/ And also the Fishing underwater lights. I always bring plenty of Beer and Tequila for everyone! I guess I'll bring my lights to. Maybe with the deeper water we can catch more Stripers. Looks like we will have 6 Marinettes on C dock. We can have a convoy!

You'll have bad times, but they'll just wake you up to the good times you weren't paying attention to

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Joe,

Come on over!! The Big Ms always party hard!

What slip did Janice give you? I'm pulling the Donzi this weekend so Rick W. can have the slip next to me for his Carver. South side of dock still has 30 to 40 feet of water and a channel past the houseboats on Dock E.

Saturday night, 7:00 pm Dock D is having Soup Night. Bring a pot of chili, stew, etc.., we'll have electrical outlets if you need it for a crockpot. Music on the dock, Alabama vs LSU on the TV. Norm is right - new guy brings the beer. I'm thinking 10 or 12 cases.

10 or 12 cases? I thought you guys were tea drinkers? I am suppose to go to the end by the "Red Barron" I check the water yesterday and it is about 12 ft on that side at the end. Im glad that Rick is moving to D dock. I thought his boat may be to big to fit in the slip. What about Frank with Larla? Janice said a couple of boats could stay on C dock when it is moved and piggy back off the empty slips to get power.
Norm/Docsnow: 65 and Sunny this weekend! Come on Down! The water is just right for swimming.

I finally got my 32' back inside - heated storage no less. I had to paint it outside. I told the building owner I also had a 28' that needs paint stored about 45 miles away. He said why don't I bring it in his building next summer and paint it. Things are looking up in the paint department. I want to sell the 28' and there is no way I can recover the cost of a professional paint job. I rolled and tipped the 32'. The building is so clean and tight I will spray the 28' with my Fuji turbine system. It is a sedan with no flybridge so it is a much simpler job. The idea is to sand and prep the boat outside and move it inside to spray. I will also hire a helper, the same one that worked on my 32' if I can get him.

Any picures of the rolled on and brushed finished job? I brushed the aft section on mine. It turned out pretty good. I should not have thined the second coat. Got a few runs in it. Looks good from 5 ft away. I would load a photo but can't figure out how? Does anybody know how?

Painting is always experimental. We used Brightside. I used the non-skid and the flattener on various parts of the boat. It all worked. The first coat was a big screw up. We were rolling and painting not rolling and tipping. We had to sand a lot of it off. The second coat we got an expert to do the tipping and direct the process. He thinned the paint a lot more. It was less sticky and if he didn't like the result he rolled and tipped it over. There are still some rough spots. I could wet sand and compound out the boat to get a perfect result but I am leaving good enough alone.

We wanted one thick coat over the two part primer on the walk around deck. We didn't thin the paint. It rolled out perfectly and did not need tipping. Who knew?
