Read a post by FastJeff awhile ago about fogging engine without ignition (pulling coil wire and grounding it) Crank engine over while spraying fogger.

The argument was that the oil was being burned off if there's ignition in the cylinders.

What do you guys think? Everything I read says to spray while running out last of fuel.

Help us out Jeff, make sense to me.. Dancing

The plugs are wet with fogging oil, so I guess it gets in there! And it's not burnt away.

While not a Big M, I've always fogged my small boat's outboard engine. This basically entailed warming up the engine and the spraying fogging oil into the carb throats until the engine died. Pricinple seems to be that all internal parts are then coated with a film of oil thus stopping/inhibiting corrosion. Excess does no harm to the engine come spring. Of course changing the plugs on an outboard is simple where changing plugs on our engines borders on masochism.Sick

When I used to winterize my engines I would turn off the fuel valve , run it out of fuel pull the coil wire and crank it while spraying fog fluid down carb.

Same difference, but I like running the gas out of the carb. I'd do that but I'm running the Pink Stuff in at the time.
