We got the engine on deck yesterday. I built a gantry out of 4x4 oak car blocking with a lot of bracing to stabilize it. The engine mounts were unbolted after all the hoses and wiring, controls were disconnected. A long pry bar lifted the engine loose from the bolts and the engine was picked free from the frames with a strap and a come along. The gear box was removed by removing the mount legs of it and unbolting it. It slid off the spline connector with wiggles and prying. The transmission was placed on the deck and the engine was pulled back to clear the front end and lifted on deck. I do not have much time to do this as I am retired and have no time since I am always doing nothing. Only four months to get this far. My generator used only for ballast is next to come out. This spring with a Skid Steer or high lift I will get the iron off the deck. Anyone interested in parts is welcome to PM me.
