I have a unknown synchronizer that is black, kinda arrow shape with a glass lense about the size if a golf ball. No name or numbers. It has two red wires & two green wires about 14gauge. Does anyone know how to wire this up? Thanks, Wayne 1973 express FB 32ft twin 318 "Southern Lady"Chattanooga

What you have is a Judson engine synchronizer. It has two red wires (port engine) and two green wires (starboard engine).
All you do to hook it up is to find the ignition wires that return back to the coil and cut the wire. Strip back each wire you just cut and hook up one of the red or green wires to each end you just cut and your done.
the synchronizer hooks up in series or in other words the voltage runs thru the synchronizer back to the coil. Now every time your coil fires the neon light in the synchronizer lights up. The side of the light that blinks faster is the engine thats running faster. A perfect sync will make the light stay on and when your absolute the light will go out.
