Getting back to insulation and wire:
The Reflectix is at Lowe's and costs about $50 for a 4' X 25' roll. I taped it at the edges to the back of each interior panel, and screwed it in place. It scrunches down where the panel meets the frames, and makes a tight seal. Others have used contact cement and staples, apparently with good results.
Consider replacing the Romex wire, as Bill suggests. Skycraft has good 14 ga 3-conductor Marine wire:

I used 14 ga for all the DC wiring, using wire from Skycraft:
http://www.skycraftsurpl...IEWPROD&ProdID=1542 is OK or something from their Mil-spec offerings. 14 ga is legal up to 29.8 Amps (engine room) and so is good behind 20 Amp breakers.
Marinette did not use tinned wire, and most of mine have rotted, it goes with the palm trees and margaritas. Inland this is probably not a problem, and you might just need to replace the terminals on the ends.
They don't have any Mil wire in 14 GA on the web at the moment, but if you call them they probably have some in back. Watch out for Teflon wire, it must be well protected with grommets, because the Teflon will extrude when stressed over a metal edge. Lost a Delta rocket that way once, some bright young thing in California decided to change the aircraft-style fiberglas-covered wire out with teflon. Lit up the whole space coast. For a few seconds.
Don't forget to secure the wire at least every 18 inches.
