You don't buy a Marinette to fix it up and make a profit. I doubt if I could get 20 grand for my 1985 32 footer, but I wouldn't trade it for a plastic boat worth three times that amount!

There is a discount when you buy an aluminum boat. But there is also a discount when you try to sell. My solution is to just buy more boats and never sell. Then you never lose money! Just keep moving up in size. You need a dinghy for your marinette and then a broward to carry your marinette. Maybe one of those aluminum jet boats they run the white water rapids with for good measure.
