Boat looks great, Doc!

Shoot me some picks of your fishing set-up (rail, etc.), when you get a chance.

Let me know if you want me to get you a deal on a laptop. We'll get you a cell card, so you are always connected ;) I might even deliver it to you personally :)

John, S. & John, B,

This is about the best pic I have of the rail set up till I get back to the boat The mounting board is made of 2x8 oak (BAD CHOICE in wood) should have used a mahogany d'oh! even though I sealed it
with West System epoxy, moisture has gotten under it & oak is turning black as oak does when
exposed to moisture. It’s mounted to the rail by 3/8 S.S. J bolts so when it’s removed there are no
holes in the top of rail the down riggers are BIG - JOHN Capt. packs that gives me 8 rod holders
plus two side holders for dipsy rods then on the F/B ladder rail I have 4 rail mount holder for the
either a lead core setup or high lines or they can be also be used as side planner board lines
believe me when U run 14 rods it can turn into a Chinese fire drill Pray when one of does bad boys
hits on one side & goes crazy & decides to cross over to the other side or U get a double or triple
hitter Anxious But it’s FUN. Sure wish I could afford a laptop this year but am so far over budget this
year with the F/B & Swim Platform restoration & gas @ over $4 gal I’ve resorted to the Scottish
way of wiping the behind one sq of paper fold it over twice tear the corner off unfold the sheet
stick finger thru hole wipe finger clean with single sheet of TP & use torn corner piece to clean
under the finger nail Whistle AnyWho when I get back to the boat I’ll take some closeups if U’d like
but not sure when I’d be able to post them. That back end when new represents about $7,000 to
$10,000 had to replace a worn reel last weekend $200 smackers. But if I can con Jeff, into a loan
till my hunched back brother straightens up I’ll surely get one from U. About coming up to
deliver the L/T even if I don’t get one feel free to come on up it’s only about 250 mi from
Monroe, Toledo border line to Ludinton MI. don’t know how far U’ll have to drive thru Ohio if
U do decide to, call me on my cell so I can be in port when U arrive best time would be from mid
July till late August best from what I gather from the locals, if U can make it during the week
when all the weekend warriors are at work would be great if that fits your schedule. ( cause work
is for people that don’t know how to fish)Shame on you (Oh yah if U decide to make the trip don’t mention
U R from Ohio U’ll be in the heart of BigM Wolverine country & them red necks don’t cotton to
Buckeye’s for obvious reasons Just joking) Eh? Like I said come on up we can catch some 20
pounders & if we luck out maybe land a couple 30 plus pounders. Was going to head up to the
boat Sat. but my buddy called said while he was up securing his boat for the storm we are
suppose get this weekend he also put a couple more lines on my boat also, told him thanks & said
I owed him a brewski he said no I didn’t he helped him self to a couple already while looking for
extra lines told him he was more then welcome & thanked him for helping in getting rid of the
old brewski’s Must be slipping in my old age leaving brewski in the cooler I hate when BEER
gets over a day or two old after it leaves the store. So I guess it all depends on the weather now.d'oh!
To all other Thanks for the Kudos on the boat.

Holy Wah! If I ever want to rig one of my Marinettes for hardcore fishing I got your pictures to inspire me. My 28' is up near Shelter Bay on Lake Superior between Marquette and Munising. It is a single engine sedan, no flybridge. The locals advised me not to go to far from shore without a kicker for a backup. It is on a beat up yooper trailer that needs work. My 32' FB is on land. I am restoring it now. No trailer. Looking for a good road legal trailer for the 32' that needs no work. Any suggestions? I got a nice diesel hauler truck to drag my boats and get me out of the snow banks so I can flee next winter. It is sitting in a garage waiting for $3.00 diesel.

Doc your dedication to the sport of boating is extremely inspiring and you surely have done a GREAT JOB on your boat. You make me feel a little guilty and a little lazy as I dont have to haul mine to the water.( not Bragging) I saw where you have a six hour treck to water and after seeing your truck and trailer. I'm tired already and havent left the chair, plus the wheather issues. But WOW WHAT FISHING YOU HAVE!! THATS GOTTA MAKE YOU SMILE!!! If you decide to come to Fl and do some fishing here call me I have a slip for you with elec. even got wifi and sat. Its yours!!! Only problem here is, youd better bring several rolls of t-paper as the heat here will have large beads of sweat running down your hinnie!! Here you have to drink the breskis, they get warm quick!!! PS loan snow suit to friend!! Sorrydog

Doc,

Thanks for posting the picture. It is giving me a lot of ideas...too many. Here in a bit when we go out on the lake, I'll have to sit out back and take a few sips from my B12 vitamin pack and see if I can get a vision of what to do. Think So the flybridge makes her look like a hooters girl? Drive from the bottom or the top. :d/

I'd shake yur hand for posting the pic, but........now I have too much information. Speak to the hand

Jeff,

I have nothing against HOOTER GIRLS nor the plain Jane, girl next door as a matter of fact I
married one of the latter. The month before I put the ole girl to bed for winter I spend that month
or so moored right across the canal from Hooters on the Saginaw, I have a many liquid lunches &
dinners there when mama aint aboard Shame on you Seeing I’m well known at that establishment I took my
grand son there for his 13th B-day the girl treated him like royalty he still does the Irish jig three
yr later when he lands a fish. Applause AnyWho have a Great Safe boating Season

Yoop,

That’s a mighty fine looking Jimmy but it U are wait for $3 diesel fuel again she’s gunna be
parked in the garage a long time d'oh! Gee U live right around where John A. company’s located
easy access to Big parts lucky U. Anxious On them tri axle trailers they’re harder to find then hens teeth
used & new ones cost a fortune best deal I could come up with was at Nextrail trailers @ 1-800-
570-6070 if U are interested. A all aluminum one that’ll carry 15,000 lb are going for about
$4,300 been toying with the idea but mama is shaking her head in a horizontal she aint even
buying the story of how much I could save in winter storage. Pray Thanks for the kudos.
