Yes the intake pump is like the Shurflo demand pumps. Overall the system is quieter and seems to flush more aggressively with less water.
I also got by mistake the full size bowl which was actually a welcome upgrade. My rear fits much better.

The original bowl was like the size of a coffee can.
Plus the unit looks better. It has a nice cowling that wraps around and it does not have that silly little container in the front for the blue fluid. I just add a bottle of Thetford chemical after each pump out and its good to go.

I rebuilt our old Crown I a couple of times and that was enough. I couldn't get that thing to flush properly. Its used so much water, it flushed like a house toilet.
