How about BOTH! The Lady Millie and her sewing machine made up these insulated curtains; I relocated the tracks inward to clear the blinds, using a 3/8 thick wooden spacers. We can now keep the sun out better while in the slip (curtains closed), while still letting the breeze blow through (on the hook. Don't have a gen set and wouldn''t run it all night in any case.)

Nice to have one's cake and eat it too!

best of both worlds. looks good. With my blinds there is a crack at the end that someone could look in.

well let me ask Fast Jeff, do you have lights in the ceiling behind the blinds, I have lights up there . I am just wondering if I put in blinds like your will affect the lighting behind the teak wood up there... I really like that look,
We had a lady make us cutains for the boat a couple of years ago, after the wife had studied several yachting magazines decided she want off white curtains, and they look good, the only problem and even I see it is there about 1'' too short.... They still work just fine , but they could have beena little longer....

When we put in new curtains, we converted the tube lights behind the valance to rope lighting. The rope lighting is mounted in its own plastic track (about 1/2 inch wide) and leaves lots of room to mount a mini-blind. It gives an interesting effect and the lighting is more uniform along the whole length of the valance.

rope lighting , thats another idea. I have tubular lights in there now....

I forget the brand, but we got them at K-Mart. You need to measure carefully and get the right size.

PS: If I had it to do over, I'd use one LONG blind for the sedan windows instead of two small ones.
