Good to hear. How's the performance and gas mileage compared to the stock motors?

Not to take over for Greg, it planes like it is an 18 foot runabout , sound awesome at idle with a good lope, pulling away it sounds like a go fast once the 4 barrel opens. Simply awesome for a Big M !

Hey Jeff, the fuel consumption is about the same six gph at 16 to 18 rpm and 20gph at 3000rpm. It planes easily at 2200rpm and topped out at 36mph wot. It has a real nice sweat spot at 2600rpm. The engines have a great improvement in torque and sounded do great!

That's excellent gas mileage!

Once again, adding power--with the right prop--increases gas mileage at cruising speed.

Jeff

PS: A bit squirrelly at 36 mph, right?

Not at all Jeff! Still using the stock props 16x15. She will turn 4400rpm. We cruised for eight hours at 1600rpm with the occasional burst to 3000rpm and we consumed 40 gallons from one tank and 43 from the other (genset). I could not be happier with the results.

Going back to the lake this weekend to enjoy those new stroker motors. Winterize after thanksgiving.

76 hours on the motors this season and they are still running and starting very well. Oil changed using Drive in 10w40 oil with the zinc package in it for the flat tappet cams. Winterized yesterday. Come on spring!
