Removal of impeller.
The belt had broken so I didn't have to do that. I fiddled with a few things, not knowing how to attack it, but I eventually loosened the two 9/16 bolts that attached the pump to the support bracket. Then I decided not to remove the entire pump, so I removed the 3 bolts 7/16 and removed the front. I looked at the impeller and although no fins were missing, one was bent over in the wrong direction. I used needle nose pliers to remove the old impeller. I haven't yet installed the new impeller, so I'll let you know how that goes.

One other thing. Does anyone know the V belt sizes for the alternator and raw water pump? Any brand will do or belt length.

You'll probably have to take the belts off the other engine and have NAPA or somebody match them up. I had to do that as well.

My marina is run by an oldtimer who was a Chrysler Marine dealer and mechanic for a long time. He says lube the new impeller with Vaseline.

My Sherwoods (double pocket) are marked in and out in the body casting.
