Looking for trailer for a 1989 32'
Looking for trailer for a 1989 32'
I just purchased a 1989 Flybridge Sedan and cruised it home from Northern Ky to my home on the Muskingum River in SE Ohio. I am looking for a yard trailer for my boat. Anyone have one av available and/or suggestions on having one built? Thanks!

Thank you metalhead......i did reply to your measage with some queations.
Thanks also seef158......your trailer appears very nice and would be an option for me. I was really hoping to stay in a 2500 range. I am looking for a trailer for loading and yard storage purposes only. Also, with the price of your nice unit + being 13 hrs from me it would put me into the range that I could likely have a new one built. However, I will keep you in mind. I do have some kin up your way I could visit!

Ok.....I'd like some input/opinions on a trailer I've located close by my home. See attached pictures. The seller says he just sold his 32' fiberglass hull twin engine inboard that he had this trailer built for. He says the bunks are adjustable. Any input on how this trailer might work or not work for my new 32' marinette would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Will you be using a travel lift to pick your boat? Not sure how easy (or if) that will work as a float on.
That trailer seems to have enough structure to hold an M, but you may have to mod the back to clear the shafts/props/rudders. Was the fiberglass boat I/O ?
Does it have 6 lug axles?

Re: Looking for trailer for a 1989 32'
My preference would be a three axle trailer. Is that one welded steel? If it is, how much does it weigh? Might be strong, but it looks very heavy. First choice would be three axle aluminum, eight lug wheels, trailer tires. Block the trailer up to take the weight off the tires if it's going to be parked all winter.--good luck,Ed

Re: Looking for trailer for a 1989 32'
Guys... he is looking for a "Yard" trailer not a road trailer. So nothing fancy is required. a 10,000 lbs M will sit fine on a dual axle. I agree if it was going to be a long haul road rig then three axles etc would be much better.
Looks like it will need some fabrication for our Ms to sit on it. I would prefer bunks rather than the V bunks but they should work if wide and high enough.

Thanks for comments and suggestions all! As stated, I am not looking for a trailer to tow with in the road.....yard storage only is all I'm shooting for. However, I am really needing to find something that will allow for floating the M on it. I do not have a lift available in my pool of the river.
